The Laryngology Brief
The Laryngology Brief is a monthly digest for laryngologists. Each issue selects recent publications from a set of core journals in the field and presents them with short editorial commentary: what the study found, and why it matters for practice.
What it is
The field publishes faster than any clinician can read. The Brief exists to make that manageable. Every month it reviews recent papers from roughly ten major journals in laryngology and voice, selects the ones worth a working clinician's attention, and summarises each with a brief editorial note that puts the finding in context. It is written for peers, so it is concise and technical, and it assumes the reader knows the field.
The Brief is editorial, not comprehensive. It reflects a considered selection rather than an exhaustive index, and it says so.
Who it is for
Practising laryngologists, voice fellows, and academic otolaryngologists who want a reliable monthly filter on the literature. It is one of the ways the institute stays connected to the international community of the field, and it carries the institute's academic voice.
