Our Story

Associate Professor Necati Enver trained in otolaryngology and then narrowed his focus to voice and swallowing, the part of the specialty where a small, precise intervention can change how a person speaks, performs, and lives. A laryngology fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, across Weill Cornell and Columbia, and time within the Sean Parker Institute for the Voice, set the template: subspecialty depth, office-based technique, and clinical work tied to research and teaching.

He returned to Türkiye in 2020 and built a dedicated voice and swallowing practice within a university setting. He is among a small number of surgeons worldwide who perform laryngeal reinnervation, both unilateral and bilateral, and he teaches the technique as a faculty member of the Rouen Laryngeal Reinnervation Course. In January 2025 the practice became a full-time independent institute, Istanbul Voice Center.

What we are building next

The near-term work is to widen the range of office-based procedures, to begin publishing procedure volumes and patient-reported outcomes, and to formalise the observership programme so that visiting physicians can train here. These are stated plans, tracked against dates, not promises.
