How Istanbul Voice Center collects, uses and protects personal data, in line with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What we collect
- information you send through our forms: name, contact details, country, and the description of your problem or enquiry
- files you choose to upload, such as medical reports, images or examination recordings
- your email address if you subscribe to The Laryngology Brief
- technical data needed to operate the website securely, such as server logs
Information about your health is special-category data. We process it only to respond to your request and to provide or plan your care, on the basis of your explicit consent given in the form, and in accordance with medical confidentiality.
How we use it
- to reply to your enquiry, arrange an appointment, or review your case
- to provide and document your care, where you become our patient
- to send The Laryngology Brief, if you subscribed
- to keep the website secure and working
We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Form submissions are stored on our website server and delivered to our email. Newsletter subscriptions are managed by our email service provider, Kit (ConvertKit), which may process data outside Türkiye. With your permission, we share clinical information with your referring or local doctor. We may disclose data where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to care are deleted when they are no longer needed to respond. Medical records are kept for the periods required by Turkish health legislation. You can unsubscribe from the Brief at any time using the link in each email.
Your rights
Under KVKK Article 11, and the GDPR where it applies, you may ask whether we process your data, request access, correction or deletion, object to processing, and withdraw consent. Send requests to info@istanbulvoicecenter.com. You may also complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) or, in the EU, to your local supervisory authority.
Security
The website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access to submissions is limited to staff who need it. Please avoid sending information by email that you would not want transmitted over the internet; the forms on this site are the preferred route.
