When your voice is your profession, "normal" may not be enough
For a singer, actor, or voice professional, the voice is the instrument and the livelihood. This section of the institute is built for people whose work depends on a voice that is reliable, consistent, and able to withstand heavy use.

A trained voice has its own normal
Professional voice users need something a general clinic rarely provides: a clinician who understands what the voice is being asked to do, and who weighs every recommendation against a return to performance. A treatment that is fine for most people may be wrong for a singer mid-season.
That often means acting early, before a small problem becomes a cancelled performance, and it means being honest when the right advice is rest rather than intervention.
Preventive voice care
Baselines, technique and habits, before problems start.
Acute performance care
Rapid assessment when a performance is at risk.
Clinical evaluation
Stroboscopy, acoustic and perceptual measures.
Injury management
Therapy, office-based procedures or surgery, timed around work.
Return to performance
Staged vocal loading, with measured progress.
